A man died Saturday morning in Kensington, Cape Town, after being shot in the head several times.
The officers found the man's body, 34, early in the morning at the corner of Ventura / Vliegtuig Avenue, said Sergeant Noloyiso Rwexana.
She said that no arrests had yet been made, and the police were tracking the clues to get those responsible to book.
Cheslyn Steenberg, secretary of the Community Policing Forum (CPF) in Kensington, said it looked like violence related to gangs.
The CPF condemned the incident and condoled the family and friends of the man.
"We note with sadness how the male victim was shot several times in the head, alerting us to the anger and frustration that rest in our room."
He asked residents with information to contact the police.
