Egypt: More arrested for train accident in Cairo, where 25 people were killed

At least 25 people were killed when an unmanned locomotive hit a barrier in the busy station, causing a massive blow that injured at least 47.

Attorney General Nabil Sadek has announced the new arrests on Tuesday. The total number of persons detained for the crash will be increased to 11. They are accused of suffering manslaughter and damaging public property.

Earlier, an investigation revealed that a fight between two trainers left the train unattended.

However, the accident on February 27 triggered an online debate among the Egyptians. Many blamed the government of President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi for not improving the railways in Egypt, even after a series of fatal accidents.
