WATCH: Minute of silence for Ethiopia's crash in UN talks as search continues

The United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) Assembly was opened in Nairobi with a minute's silence to pay tribute to the victims and lands affected by the plane crash in Ethiopia.

The plane crash killed 157 people, including 22 UN personnel, many of whom were heading for the annual event.

The UN flag was blowing at the half-mast and the flags of the UN members, who normally decorate the UNEP headquarters, were torn down.
